Sports Day

What a fantastic sports day! A massive thank you to all Year 1's parents', carers' and friends' who turned up to cheer the children on. Didn't they all do fantastically? I was so impressed with their skills mastering the obstacle race; especially their skipping and bean bag balancing. And well done Zyanna's Mum for winning the parents race!

Our new topic

I hope you're all having a great holiday and having lots of adventures. Has anyone been practicing running in the park?

What do you think our topic is going to be next half term?

If you could chose anything to learn about, what would you choose?

Week 4 - Loughborough Park

This week we ran laps of Loughborough Park, right opposite our school!

Each lap was nearly 1/2km. So if you ran 10 laps you nearly ran 5km!

How many laps did you run?
How has your running improved over the last 4 weeks?

Watch out year 1 are running

In PE this half term we are working on getting better at running. Each week we're going to go running in a different bit of Brixton. Today we went running in Brockwell park.

One Year 1 said, "We ran around the big old tree. We have even been racing up and down the hill. We ran as fast as we could."

How far do you think we ran today?
